  Help me find a thread, in last week or so, about fearing armaggedon...

  in the past week or so, there was a mention of someone reading the bible again, going back to the hall, because of fear of armaggedon and world conditions being so bad.... does that ring a bell to anyone?

  i had someone mention that same circumstance this week and i wanted to re-read the thread.. is there any way to do a search on this site?'.

  when i got baptized as a jw, and being told that the end was so close, and i was only 28, i really thought that my eternal life had already started.

  i was sure, with their teachings, that the odds of dying was slim, compared to the proximity of the new system.. i really thought that my eternal life had started..

  I think mine started BEFORE I got here....but then, that's just me - this "Life" is just a side trip in eternity (and no, I don't believe in reincarnation....just a few bible scriptures that indicate it).

  Do you think that most "thin"people have hatred towards "heavy" people?

  i know this might sound abit "paranoid" but as i mentioned on other posts before i am a "heavy" person who is losing weight.

  so far i have lost 65 pounds and i am still losing through a "strict"diet and exercise.

  i was at a restaurant the other day and there were 4 "thin" people sitting at a table across from a "very heavy overweight" man.

  Next time you experience something similar, go up to those 'human' who are wasting good flesh and tell them "You know, movies are made about people like you. Your self-righteous, ignorant comments that put other humans down are the reason some good people go postal and end up taking your sorry ass*s out"

  No secular evidence for Jesus. What does this imply?

  a man that performed miracles including raising the dead has left no secular evidence.

  but as i write this the question has come to mind of what ancient evidence constitutes verifiable, believable evidence that we can take to the bank?

  we have the nt and the apocrypha, ancient texts that tell a story of the early christians.

  When you pray to God, who answers your prayers, Jesus or Jehovah?

  13 also, whatever it is that you ask in my name, i will do this, in order that the father may be glorified in connection with the son.

  so is it correct to say that if we ask jehovah something in prayer, it's jesus that will grant the prayer, since he said "if you ask in my name, i will do it"?.

  i always thought that it was jehovah whom we pray to, and he was the one who would answer our prayer, not jesus.

  this is one of my mother's sisters.

  i am going to feel this one, ... because for the last five years, since my departure from the org.

  her and my cousins, .. we have become very close.. they have been very supportive for me.

  In her early ninetys she had a good life.

  We all should be so 'lucky'. I'm sorry for you loss, but happy you had a chance to really know her and now you can carry on with your cousins.
